How To Measure

How to Measure Your Nails for Press-Ons

Getting the right fit is key to making your press-on nails look natural and feel comfortable. Here’s a quick and easy guide to help you measure your nails at home.

Nail Sizing Kit:

What You’ll Need:

  • A soft measuring tape or a strip of clear tape

  • A ruler (with millimeters)

  • A pen or fine marker

  • Paper (optional, for writing down your measurements)

Step-by-Step Guide:

Option 1: Using Clear Tape

  1. Cut a small strip of clear tape and place it across the widest part of your natural nail (usually the center).

  2. Press the tape down firmly to follow the curve of your nail.

  3. Use a pen or fine marker to mark the edges of your nail on the tape.

  4. Remove the tape and place it on a ruler to measure the distance in millimeters (mm).

  5. Write down the width for each finger (thumb to pinky) on both hands.

Option 2: Using a Measuring Tape

  1. Place a flexible measuring tape across the widest part of your nail.

  2. Record the width in millimeters for each nail.

  3. Measure both hands, as some fingers may slightly differ in size

Helpful Tips 🩷

  • Measure both hands—sometimes your dominant hand may differ slightly.

  • Double-check your measurements for the most accurate fit.

  • When in doubt, size up (it’s easier to file down a press-on than to stretch it).
